Job Title: Shop Technician

Department: Service

Reports To: Service Manager

  • Maintain and repair heavy diesel, gas, electric, air and hydraulic construction equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment, replacing defective parts.
  • Rebuild engines, power trains, undercarriage, hydraulic power and control systems, electrical power and control systems.
  • Use a variety of power and hand tools, diagnostic instruments, measuring tools and other equipment as required.
  • Perform repairs by welding.
  • Operate machine shop equipment and related tooling.
  • Maintain company provided tools and equipment.
  • Maintain company service vehicles.
  • Operate cranes, overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment for loading and unloading trucks
  • Perform inspections, on hire and off hire reports, commissioning reports and testing of equipment.
  • Experience working on heavy construction equipment with an emphasis in electronics, CAN-bus wiring, hydraulics, power trains, and diesel engines is desired.
