Job Title: Yard / Parts Manager
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Manager
- Ship and receive parts orders from vendors.
- Inspect parts orders for damages.
- Label parts with correct part number.
- Stock incoming orders in theri correct bin locations.
- Prepare customer orders for shipping.
- Ship customer orders and receive customer returns.
- Identify, sell, and deliver parts to customers.
- Create bill of ladings and packing lists on parts orders.
- Process outgoing orders using UPS or FedEx.
- Create outbound and inbound custom forms.
- Load and unload orders using forklift.
- Pickup orders from local vendors.
- Assist service department locating parts.
- Maintain accurate inventory.
- Daily and annual inventory counts.
- Maintain accurate purchase orders and receivers.
- Manage and coordinate all activity in the yard.
- Maximize yard efficiency
- Log all shipping & receiving of equipment & attachments in computer system.
- Determines safe lift parameters and follows established procedures to safely lift, load, and unload various types of heavy equipment.
- Rigs equipment, machinery, and material using slings, chain falls, and other rigging gear as required and in accordance with all safety protocols.
- Safely operate a forklift when shipping or receiving equipment and or parts.
- Conduct inspections on all incoming equipment and attachments.
- Scan and record all incoming and outgoing equipment and attachments.
- Participate in the preparation of equipment for rental or sale.
