Foundation Drilling Feature (1/15): In 1918, three companies banded together to make the most of post-World War I surplus equipment. Chicago Builders Specialties Company, French and Allen, and Marsh-Capon Company all were located in the Chicago, Illinois, area. They became Equipment Corporation of America (ECA) and proceeded to amass equipment used in construction and industrial and material handling businesses.
