Govey Jamie 2

ECA is like my extended family. Unlike other businesses that are spread out all of the country, I have had the opportunity to meet each and every employee regardless of where they are located. This makes for a better relationship. Roy Kern genuinely cares about the people he employs and their families.

Pittsburgh

Jamie Govey began her career with ECA in June 1998. She had previously put herself through night school while working full time for Copy World. Jamie ultimately earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from West Virginia Northern College, and an Associate’s Degree in Specialized Business from Bradford Business School.

Jamie’s first job at ECA was accounting manager, and she reported directly to then-owner Al Kern. As ECA’s first dedicated financial person, she handled financial reporting for all company branches.

As ECA began to grow, Jamie’s responsibilities continued to expand. In June 2008, she was promoted to company controller reporting to CEO Roy Kern, Jr. Jamie stepped outside of her role as controller to help implement and roll out the company EBS financial software system. She has also personally trained all the company administrative people.

Jamie was instrumental in ECA’s purchase of Jacksonville, Florida-based Pile Equipment and New England Construction Products in 2015. She converted the financial documents for both companies onto ECA’s platform and implemented software and business practices at both locations. Jamie was promoted to her current role of Vice President of Accounting in April 2016.

Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband Tim and her extended family when she’s not at work. Her camp at the lake and Harley Davidson motorcycles are also at the top of the priority list.
